The estate has belonged to the ravone Anfossi family for a long time, Piedmontese nobles whose origins were present in santo Stefano Belbo with an Anfossi Abbot in 1100. The 18h century underground cellars resemble the architecture of the underground cathedrals of Canelli (also Unesco World Heritage) and testify to the importance of the estate in the rural economy of the area.

The estate today shines with the beauty of the past and the atmosphere that characterised the noble farmhouse of the period, evoking the emotions and landscapes that inspired the literature of Cesare Pavese.

The comfort and functional furnishings meet luxury hospitality standards, yet nothing here feels like a traditional hotel. Instead, it is more akin to a historic private residence that opens its doors to guests, where every detail is unique and in harmony with the authenticity of the surroundings. The Relais consists in 6 Suites, fully renovated and attentively restored. In addition, there are some charming lounges, not only in the residential part, but also in the adjacent structure that previously housed the rural warehouses and which has now been restored to its rustic dimension, with bricks, stone walls, beams and cavities. The residence and the former warehouses overlook the courtyard, dominated by a centuries-old maritime pine tree and which houses a vegetable garden, a century-old vine pergola, the Langa stone swimming pool, the gym and other pergolas and outdoor lounges.
